Before any adventure can begin, you need to get the right tools! The main and biggest tool we need for our adventure, is the camper!
We decided to get a pull behind camper instead of a RV Motorhome. On Saturday, July 26th, 2025, we picked up a 1985 Starcraft, 30 foot long camper. It has everything in it that we need and more than enough room for me and my family to live in while on the road.
We are trying to get a 1/2 ton pickup to pull it with. We brought it home pulling behind our CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle) but I felt that it put too much of a strain on the car, so getting a pickup sounds like a good idea!
The camper needs a little fixing up, not much, a coat of paint here and there and a mattress for the back bedroom. There are a few lights and fixtures that need replaced, but that is about it.
